Ready to Copyright Your Original Songs ?

It’s important to copyright your songs. But did you know?….that you can’t copyright chord progressions, a song concept, the title, or short phrases?  WHen you think about old style country music with the same 3 chords and blues music with the same  1, 4 ,5 chord progression you’ll understand.

Then think about how many song titles have the same title “Forever.”    How many song concepts are about “love gone wrong” and how many songs contain phrases like ” I love you!”

Heres a pretty good short & simplified article by Anthony Ceseri , courtesy of DIY Musician / CDBaby,  about what you can copyright and how.
